Surrender Unhealthy Relationships

Have you taken some time recently to evaluate the relationships that you have in your life currently? It is something that should be done on a regular basis.
🌹
Often, we keep people in our lives because they have been a part of our journey for a long time, this is not a reason to do so. No matter how long or how briefly someone has been in our life, the same evaluation should be given to each.
🌹
Family members should also be evaluated, as they do not get a guaranteed spot either.
🌹
Part of self love and care is only allowing people in our lives that love and support us. That is the simplest criteria to use when evaluating relationships, do they really love and support you unconditionally?
🌹
You may find that you have people in your life that are toxic, that cause problems and strife in your life. Time to make the break, you deserve better. Same goes for those who are only pretending to be a friend, but in reality they are unavailable, never there when you need them, even when you desperately call on them. You will not be able to change them, it’s time to move on. Have a ‘friend’ with whom it’s all one sided? Time to say goodbye.

Having firm boundaries, and allowing only those who truly care for you, who add value to your life, who support and encourage, who help you through difficult times, these are the types of relationships to nourish and keep. Know that you worthy of having this in your life.

It can be difficult, especially if it’s family, to let go of these relationships and move on, but you must. Letting go of these types of unhealthy relationships opens the door for new relationships, that are more positive, to come in.

You are worthy and deserving of having loving and supportive people in your life.

As always, take what resonates with you and discard what does not.
