Ride the Waves

You’re really in it now; life is crashing over you in waves and you may feel overwhelmed, not knowing what to do or how to respond. Instead of being thrown about by the incoming waves, grab a board and join others as they use the energy of the water in wave form to propel them forward. Sure, you’ll probably fall off, but isn’t it exhilarating to jump back on and catch the next wave?

Then, like seasoned surfers do, you listen to the surf report hoping to hear that it’s a good day to go surfing. Instead of viewing life’s challenges as a negative, turn it around and view it as an opportunity to gain more experience. You can’t stop the waves from coming, so look for ways to work with the waves, gaining experience and wisdom each time you do so.

All that you experience shapes who you are. You gain empathy, compassion, and wisdom as you go through intense experiences. This gives you the opportunity to help others on their path as they experience the waves in their life. Once you learn how to surf, you in turn, can teach another how to surf the waves in their life.
