The Keeper of Whimsy has come today to remind you that whimsy is not just for children. Whimsy has gotten a bad reputation in adults. It runs the gambit from being irresponsible to being mentally unfit. What do you think of when you think of being whimsical? Your answer will tell you where you need to work on releasing beliefs that no longer serve you.

Being whimsical is just as important for an adult as it is for a child. It connects you to your inner child, it strengthens your imagination and creativity. It releases stress hormones and fills you with laughter and joy.

Whimsy is a muscle, and yours may be woefully out of shape. Take some time to connect again with whimsy and start to build up that muscle. Leave judgement behind and connect with your imagination. Talk with the trees and animals. Leave some treats for your fairies. Wish upon a dandelion. Look for cloud shapes. You will find that you become more resilient to everyday stressors when you allow time for whimsy in your life.
