Forgiveness is an important step that happens when we release the past hurts, slights, pains, that we have experienced. To not forgive, is to carry the painful experiences from the past with you at all times. When this happens, the past becomes more important than the present moment.

Carrying the past around with you is heavy and painful. The pain lashes out, hurting yourself and others around you repeatedly.

Forgiveness is for you and you alone. It is healing at its core. It lightens the energy around you and within you. It allows you to fully experience the present moment and to look joyfully into the future.
