Too often there has been a disconnect between being a spiritual person and being a sexual person. It is thought that to be highly spiritual is to give up the ways of the flesh. This is just not true. You are spirit inhabiting a physical body, you are allowed to be a sexual person. This disconnect allows shame to enter among other unhealthy emotions.

Sex at its most sacred is the very act of creation itself. To be sexual is to inhabit fully the body you were given. It awakens the root chakra and starts the energy flowing.

As the young discover, it doesn’t need a partner to activate it. There is no shame in this either. Isis reminds us that magic exists, and the creative energy is a sacred energy. Your lower chakras are no less sacred than the upper. Your soul came into physical form to experience life physically, and that is sacred indeed.
