When Root Girl shows up you are being asked to work with your inner child. Everyone has an inner child. Your inner child holds all of your unexpressed emotions, all of your shame, all of your fear, all of your unmet needs, your failures; they probably are also carrying ancestral wounds in need of healing. When you ignore your inner child, you only hurt yourself by adding on to the healing work that needs to be done.

Part of your spiritual practice should include sitting with your inner child. Embrace them, surround them with love. Tell them that you value their input. Ask them what they would like to do, and then do it and feel how wonderful it is to work with your inner child.

When you love your inner child, when you take in this disowned part of yourself and shower them with acceptance, your path forward is transformed with renewed purpose. Align with your inner child for any creative and playful adventures. Then your path forward becomes joyful and enjoyable.
