The Third House is all about how you communicate, both outside and inside. You may believe that you are communicating effectively with others but upon some reflection and review you may find that is not the case. Everyone can use a review of their communication style and it’s effectiveness many times throughout their life. Communication is ever evolving throughout your life.

Take a look at your family of origin communication style. Is it effective? What can be done to make it more effective? This is where you learned to communicate with others, what was effective and what was not? Unless you consciously review this, you could be repeating ineffective communication ways.

Communication that is honest and caring is the goal both outside and inside. Step back and look at the way you talk to and about yourself. Is it kind, caring, and encouraging? Or do you put yourself down, calling yourself names? Is this the way a parent of sibling talked to you? You can change the way you communicate with yourself, you are your own best friend, shouldn’t you be talking to yourself like you love yourself?
