Medicine Bag

A traditional medicine bag held items of power that were sacred to the individual carrying it. They were items that allowed the owner to feel an instant connection to their inner power and to the divine.

We imbibe our personal energy onto/into everything that we touch. This energy remains even after it’s out of our possession. You can imbue your energy consciously and/or unconsciously.

How many items have you unconsciously put your energy in?

Think of Golem and his Precious, he spent hours petting the ring and infusing it with his energy. How often is that phone in your hand? Has it come to feel like one of your appendages? Is it your precious?

Consciously choose sacred items that remind you of your inner power, that remind you that you are a creator. They can be simple things, a rock picked up on a day that had meaning for you. An acorn, from an ancient, sturdy oak that reminds you to protect and nourish in order to grow strong; that even the mightiest oak comes from a small seed. Words that inspire you. A feather that reminds you to soar.

In a broader sense: time in this physical form is fleeting, do not waste your energy on things that have no value to you. Keep close that that you hold sacred, allowing the rest to go.

As always, take what resonates with you and discard what does not.
