Friendships, like any relationship, need to be nourished and attended to or they will just slip away. True friends are ecstatic about your successes and will be a comfort to you when feeling discouraged. What kind of friend have you been? It’s not too late to reach out and connect.

Other times, through no fault of your own friendships end because they were destined to be short lived, having served their purpose they move on. Or perhaps you’ve grown and having taken different paths the time together is over. If this is you, it is time to put yourself out there and connect with new people and grow new friendships. Take a class that you’ve been interested in. Go to a museum, a park. Talk to people that you cross paths with.

It is beneficial to get together with your friends and share ideas, hopes, and aspirations. You will find support, connections, and possibly new ideas and dreams to nourish.
