You are being gently guided to look at your roots. Just as the mighty oak has roots that hold it steady during times of turmoil, you too have roots. It is helpful for you to know when and how your roots were formed, how deeply your roots go, will your roots hold you steady and get you through life’s changes? Do your roots make you feel at home, secure and loved? Do they provide you sanctuary? If not, it is time to consciously provide yourself roots that do keep you rooted securely.

You can root yourself deeply by leaning into habits and activities that make you feel secure. Traditions, whether they are provided for you as a child, or those you created for yourself as an adult, are a good way to make you feel securely rooted in your life.

Your spiritual roots will hold you steady through whatever turmoil life has for you. Strengthening your spiritual beliefs will strengthen your roots. There may be times when it is only your spiritual beliefs that will get you through hard times. You don’t have to be religious to be spiritual. So don’t worry that you will not have these roots if you do not participate in a religious group. Excavate any roots that do not resonate with your beliefs. They will be replaced by strong roots that are in alignment with who you are.
