Instead of being rigid and inflexible, the situation you are facing instead calls for flexibility. Be willing to change and adapt. Knowing when to be flexible is a strength. You will have a smoother path when you are flexible. What can you do in the current situation that would bring progress? Instead of being inflexible and insisting on your way, ask instead, what can I do to help?

There is power in knowing when to be adaptable. People are more inclined to work with someone who is flexible as opposed to someone who stands in the way of progress.

Being flexible is not giving away your power. It is choosing to use your power in a way that is helpful. You are not allowing someone to bully you into a certain position, you are choosing when and how to be adaptable to the situation at hand. Choosing to walk away from a situation that doesn’t serve you is also a form of adaptation.
