You are being asked to trust that you are always divinely supported. All through life things will come up that will make you feel unrooted and unsupported; the loss of a job, the breakup with a partner, the loss of a friendship, the death of a parent/loved one. All these things can leave you feeling bereft and alone. But nothing could be further from the truth. You are always divinely supported.

Dig your roots deep, anchoring them tightly around the love at the heart of the world, the Divine. That way when the winds of change howl, blowing away everything that is not anchored down, you will bend like the palms, but you will stay anchored by the support of the Divine.

Sometimes it isn’t until you have had a dark night of the soul, feeling that you have lost everything, that you don’t know which way is up or where you are going to land, that you look around for an anchor in the storm. There you will find the surety of the Divine, the arms of the Divine Mother beckoning you in. Rest securely in the arms of the Divine.
